The South Holston continues to fish well as sulphurs dominate the menu.  The Sulphur hatch has been sporadiac but productive. The low water has made for tougher than normal conditions, but persistance can pay off.  The best feeding has been later in the day, especially on bright days.  For those anglers that are on the water early it pays to fish the midge, but I wouldn't wait long to tie a sulphur nymph on.  16 and 18 in brown and olive are getting it done.  Dries have been prroductive as...

We have been floating the lower river recently.  The late afternoon and evening sulphur bite has been solid.  Nymphing the riffles has produced good numbers of trout.  Sight fisihng the slower water has also produced some nice fish. We have also been wade fishing the middle section.  Targeting pools below riffles has been productive.  The best bite is during falling water as the sulphur hatch peaks.
